Group-Think by Stine Marie Jacobsen

Stine Marie Jacobsen opens the annual programme with the exhibition Group-Think, shown for the first time in Denmark. The opening takes place on Thursday 9 February from 4-7 pm. Read about the opening here.
The exhibition focuses on collective intelligence, sport and demonstration. Group-Think and Jacobsen’s artistic practice explores what social problems young people think we have, as the project creates contact between bodies and increases collective intelligence, consent and care in groups. During the months of February to May 2023, Rønnebæksholm will be transformed into a “gym” where children, young people and the elderly can exercise their collective intelligence and talk about their shared bodily future. The project on display is called Group-Think and was created by Danish artist Stine Marie Jacobsen.
With the Group-Think project, Rønnebæksholm’s physical space becomes a platform and support for young people’s political discussions and concerns about a better future. Through a school programme and workshops, children and young people learn a collective sport where the strongest and fastest does not win anymore. For this exhibition, the artist collaborates with young people from the Talentskolens Kunstlinje and JB10 Youth House in Næstved, and school programmes are offered to both children and young people. During the exhibition period public guided tours are offered, which activate the exhibition with the public and Rønnebæksholm’s art educators, see all dates under It Happens’ (in Danish).
